NORTHEAST STATE AND ASCE TO HOST ENGINEERING WEEK EVENTS FOR REGIONAL SCOUTS

Northeast State Community College and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) are teaming up for Engineering Week to host the Boy Scouts of the Sequoyah Council and the Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachians to introduce them to the field of Engineering. The Boy Scouts Event will be held on Saturday, February 18th, and the Girl Scouts Event on Saturday, February 25th, both beginning at 9 am and ending at 3:30 pm, at the College’s main campus in Blountville.

National Engineering Week (February 19-25, 2012), celebrates the positive contributions engineers make to society and the importance of learning math, science, and technical skills. E-Week was first started in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers in honor of the nation’s first engineer, President George Washington.

Thanks to all of the E-week Sponsors
